Top Gear Live Show, ExCel London 2011

29/11/11

Top Gear Live were back in London town for more 4 wheeled....and 2 wheeled action!
The ExCel was host to the usual tomfoolery with an hour of fun in the live performance hosted by Clarkson, Hammond and May.
Moped Chariot Racing, Fiat Curling with a target and sweeper operated by Captain Slow, FMX action from the Bolddog boys, splat the radio controlled rats in City Rovers, enough pyrotechnics to blow the roof off the ExCel and finishing with an exotic beauty contest...Super cars of course!
A huge indoor track designed by Lotus Motorsport for an hour and a half of track action hosted by Tiff Needell. Head-to-head indoor drag racing with a line up between a Mercedes W107 SL500 vs Mercedes SL63 AMG and a Ferrari 308 vs Ferrari 599 GTO just to name a few! The Stig was unleashed onto the track for a few sideways power laps in a variety of cars from classic icons to modern super cars.
A Group B Rally Special Stage with same classics from the World Rally Championships including the Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2, Ford RS200, Lancia 037 and an MG Metro 6R4. ‘A Star In A Reasonably Priced Car’ with stars such as Chris Evans, Rupert Grint and John Barnes. And Sabine Schmitz took up some head to head challenges in a prototype Bowler EXR against some very special guests.
The Exhibition itself was any petrol heads dream, with an array of exotic cars such as the Ferrari 250 GTO, Mercedes CLK GTR and Koenigsegg Agera R.
Some familiar features from the TV show were there, including a replica of the Top Gear TV studio, the Cool Wall, and the vehicles from the unforgettable TV challenges!
When it was time to take a break, there was plenty of refreshment areas…Or sit down to play the brand new Forza 4 racing game on the XBox 360.
Bigger, crazier and louder than ever!
